Catholic School

The purpose of O.L.O.R. School is to facilitate the development of effective, responsible, Christian citizens. Our goal is to stimulate the intellectual, spiritual, physical and cultural development of each student. Our school's faith community is a reflection of the mission of our Catholic Church:

To proclaim the word,

to worship God,

and to serve the people of the world.

The O.L.O.R. School Family is made up of many families from the local communities who gather together during weekend Masses and on many occasions throughout the school year. Our O.L.O.R. Family comes together to show support for one another, to socialize, and to celebrate our growth and accomplishments of First Holy Communion, First Reconciliation, Confirmation, Sporting Events, Graduation, School Open House, Children's Liturgies, School Book Fair, Special Prayer Services, Jr. High Science Fair, Special Student Luncheons, Parish-Sponsored Activities, Parent Club Sponsored Activities and much more!

The primary goal of O.L.O.R. is to preserve and pass along the teachings and traditions of the Catholic faith to our students. Religion is central to our school's atmosphere and to our curriculum. O.L.O.R. follows the norms and guidelines of the Archdiocese of Chicago and those set by the State of Illinois. Our curriculum includes: Religion, Math, Reading, English, Phonics, Spelling, Social Studies, Science, Physical Education, Computer Education, Art, Music and Library.

The O.L.O.R. Faculty is made up of dedicated and professional personnel with a wide variety of teaching experiences. Our full-time teachers and principal are state certified. Our Support Staff consists of caring adults who enhance our school setting in many different ways.

Our school offers activities and programs that go beyond the required academic basics: Hot Lunch/Milk Program, Classroom Field Trips, Guest Speakers, Special Assemblies, "Buddies" for the Year, Student Council , Mission Projects, Children's Choir, Scouts, Athletics, Band, Student Patrols, Spanish, D.A.R.E., Altar Servers, and more.
