Walking with a young child slows you down. You need to hop over cracks, admire the bug crawling along the sidewalk and watch your child find his wobbly balance on a narrow wall. In other words, you need time to keep your eyes and heart open. Parenting with all its obligations and restraints, slows us down. It makes us walk through life at the blessed pace ofa child.
