From the Principal |
Dear Parents, The birth of our Savior is near - just a mere 10 days away! Probably most of our homes are decorated, perhaps gifts are purchased, we might even have some of our Christmas baking completed. Now for the really important preparation - how ready are our hearts for the coming of the Babe of Bethlehem? What portion of our time, talent and treasure have gone into making ready our soul and spirit for the birth of the Child? Perhaps we might consider slowing down and spending some time in the Adoration Chapel - just to bask in the presence of the Lord. Perhaps we can arrive a little earlier at church this weekend - just to sit in quiet gratitude. The Lord's birth nears - how ready will He find our hearts for His coming? Just a few reminders are in order: 1. Your child(ren)'s picture(s) with Santa is coming home today. 2. The January After School Care calendar is coming home today. If you are able to complete it now, please return it to school by next Wednesday. 3. The students will wear school uniforms next Wednesday. This will be a full day of classes, and yes, there will be classroom parties. 4. Dec. 21st. will be our Pizza Day! Hot lunches/milk will not be served. If your chidl(ren) did not order pizza, lunch must be brought from home. THE DUE DATE FOR PIZZA ORDERS & PAYMENT WAS TODAY. NO MORE ORDERS CAN BE ACCEPTED. 5. The January School Calendar and any other communications from school will be sent home next Tuesday. Dec. 20th. Hopefully, it won't get buried in the bottom of bookbags over the holiday break. 6. The Student Council Toy Drive will end on Monday, Dec. 19th. Please take time for yourself - somehow! We can't be good to others if we're not good to ourselves! Blessings on your week! Peace and all good! Sr. Stephanie
Blessing of Christmas Ornaments
Lord, God, we ask You to bless these family ornaments. Each of these represents a thread in the tapestry of our family's life together. As we gather, let us recall how You, Lord, have been present with us throughout every single day. We know that You are present with us now as our family story continues to unfold. Help us to see one another as precious and dear, to treat one another with tenderness and care, and to enjoy and celebrate the joy that each one of us brings to this family. We ask You this in a spirit of memory and celebration. Amen
